Wow… has it really been 6 years since I started my fanlisting collective? I was 12 when I first started my website. Since then I have gone through many changes, opened and eventually closed many fanlistings, and even became a trouble checker for TFL. It’s just amazing how time flies ;)

Also as a side note please note I am having some trouble because it seems Enthusiast does not support php 5, but the new version of Wordpress uses php 5. This will not affect you but be aware in case you encounter any PHP errors.

A few updates to let you all know about!

First of all, I recent went through and updated my information on ALL of the fanlistings I have ever joined. It took a while, but I just finished it yesterday. IN the process, I deleted fanlistings that are broken links or that have been closed. I am going to try to maintain my collective from now on.

As some may have noticed I recently closed a few of my fanlistings. I am a busy person and I had trouble keeping up with all of my fanlistings, so I decided to close all except the Class of 2011 fanlisting, the Christian Music fanlisting, and the Chi Chai Monchan fanlisting.

Finally, I am in the process of redesigning/updating the website.

Some people may have noticed my site was down for awhile… I was having host problems. I have fixed the site now. However, my subdomain redirection is not working… I’m going to try and fix it, but in the meantime, it is a broken link so please keep that in mind. Thanks!!

Shine fanlisting up for adoption

I’m officially putting the Shine fanlisting up for adoption because I really no longer want to run it. If anybody wants it, feel free to contact me. You can keep the layout and codes (you’ll have to credit me, of course) but there aren’t very many members so you won’t really have to worry about re-adding members.
Please contact me before Thanksgiving if you are interested, as I will be away that entire Thanksgiving weekend!

No new listings for awhile

I’m probably not going to apply for any new listings for awhile. I’m trying to fix the layouts and codes on all of my fanlistings. I want to look good for thefanlistings.org staff so that when I do apply for a listing they accept me.

A little while ago I applied for a fanlisting and they rejected me over someone else. I was actually kind of glad, but now I realize they rejected me for a reason… my fanlistings don’t look all that great. So like I said earlier—I won’t be applying for any listings until I can manage the ones I currently have!!

I just finished installing Enthusiast 3.1.5… It’s actually a security update. There are no problems right now… hopefully none pop up overnight. Don’t forget to use the contact form if you do find a problem!
The reason I am putting this under all the fanlistings is because the update required me to fix the config files for the individual fanlistings as well. So if any problems come up while trying to join, please let me know! Thanks!

Working on new link back buttons

Right now I’m working on the codes for my fanlistings. A lot of the link back buttons are really ugly so I’m trying to make new, nicer ones. If you’re a member of one of my listings, you’ll get an email once I add new codes to the listing.

I added some new codes to the fanlisting, and got rid of the older ones. I also added a whole new size, 200 x 40. My old codes were kind of stupid. Hope everyone enjoys the new ones!!

Ugh…
I got an announcement from TFL a while ago saying that people need to start making more codes for their fanlistings. I’m going to try and work on fixing the layouts on some of my listings and also adding a variety of codes to each one. I’m hoping that this doesn’t get to be too much for me to handle like it was before!!

New layout today!
My old one was kind of dumb and sort of dark so now I made it lighter. The site was down from about 1:30 PM until just now (not like anyone cared…). The new one is called cake & ice cream because it reminds me of cake and ice cream. I hope everyone likes the new layout!

I added a new layout because the old one was super ugly. It is the same layout I am using for the Class of 2011 fanlisting, but I don’t really care because I love the color scheme of this one. Two of these listings, Shine and Scottish Folds, were once owned by me but I closed them because it was getting hard to manually manage my fanlistings. Now that I’m using Enthusiast, I am trying to open up some of the fanlistings I once owned.

Also, in relation to the FanUpdate script, I disabled commenting. I don’t really see any point in using it.

I installed CodeSort and FanUpdate on my collective… I’m trying to find a PHP script for every function that my collective must have. Also I am working on cleaning up the code on my listings, and working on a listing template so that I can start to make fanlistings faster.
